Common questions

How do I import my own sheet music?

From the library, tap Import PDF and pick any sheet-music PDF. The app reads it on your device, with no internet needed, and shows each note's letter on the page.

A letter looks wrong. Can I fix it?

Yes. Tap the edit button (bottom-right), choose Fix letters, then tap the letter and correct it. Fixes stick with the piece, and hand-placed letters stay visible at every dial level except "No letters."

What is the reliance dial?

Tap the gear to open Settings. The RELIANCE dial controls how many letters show, from every note down to none, with steps in between (including "Ledger notes," which keeps letters only for notes off the staff). Turn it down as a piece becomes familiar; each piece remembers its own setting.

Can I write on the score?

Yes. The edit button also has a pen and an eraser, for fingering marks and reminders with your finger or a stylus such as Apple Pencil. The eraser removes a whole stroke in one tap, and Undo brings back what you didn't mean to change. Markings are saved with the piece.

Which clefs does it read?

Treble, bass, alto and tenor clefs.

Does the app work offline?

Completely. Reading, letters, corrections and markings all happen on your device. Nothing is uploaded; see the privacy policy.

I bought the unlock. How do I restore it on a new device?

Open Settings in the app and tap Restore purchase, signed in to the same Apple or Google account you bought it with.
